One of the purposes of this newsletter is to gain and share knowledge about privacy and how to protect it. But I realized that I never really defined what is privacy. Perhaps thatβs because privacy takes a different meaning for everyone and there is no one way to describe it. But I feel that these four social media posts that I found will best explain what privacy is that most can agree with.
1.) βPrivacy is a right, not an ideal.β - Session | Link
2.) βPrivacy isnβt about hiding. Itβs about protecting.β - Mailfence | Link
3.) βSurveillance gives them control. Privacy gives you control.β - Naomi Brockwell | Link
4.) βI need privacy, not because my actions are questionable, but your judgement and intentions areβ - unknown | Link
How would you explain privacy? Let me know in the comments.
Until Next Time,
